Let There Be Light Free Loan Fund
We are very pleased to announce the creation of a new program, the "Let there Be Light Free Loan Fund." Through this program, GWIPL will provide interest free loans to communities of faith who serve low income families, so they can make cost effective energy efficiency improvements to their buildings. This will allow the congregations to save money, protect creation and spend money on other priorities, like their missions work. This fund has been made available to us by the generous support of Hazon and the first DC Hazon Bike Ride. If you would like to apply for funding please contact Allison @ 202-885-8684 or send an email.

shopIPL Online Store

There is more than just light bulbs; shopIPL has weatherization tools, water efficiency products, and even fun things like a shower timer! On top of the already discounted prices, friends of GWIPL will receive an additional 10% off during the check-out process by typing in the code: shopIPL For more resources and information on shopIPL, please visit www.gwipl.org/save_energy/buy.asp

Join the Cool Capital Challenge
Have you ever wondered how much carbon dioxide all of the member families in your congregation could save? The Cool Capital Challenge will allow you to calculate how much energy, CO2, and money you are saving at your home. You can then join a team of your member faith communities and tally up all the savings. To sign up for the challenge and access more information about how to recruit other member families, please visit www.gwipl.org/Coolcapitalchallenge.asp
