Montgomery County is helping you make the switch to clean energy! When you purchase clean energy through the Clean Energy Rewards program Montgomery County will reward you 1 cent per kilowatt-hour of clean energy used. The reward helps to offset the increased cost of clean energy by about 40%. This savings will make the additional cost of clean energy about the cost of a pizza dinner for the family per month.

Clean energy is generated from wind, solar, and biomass sources and releases few, if any, greenhouse gases. Your choice to buy clean energy makes a difference in the amount of electricity generated from fossil fuels, decreases your impact on the local environment, and helps to protect our environment for future generations.
