Switching your congregation to 100% clean energy can cost about $500 to $2500 more per year, but with fundraising and support from your congregation’s budget, it can be a meaningful and doable action that allows your congregation to become a leader of stewardship of creation. In order to purchase clean energy for your congregation, you’ll need people to work together. It helps to talk to involved congregation members, find out which committees can help set up fundraisers, or give funds to the project, figure out the extra cost per month, and discuss the details with those who control the budget. With your congregation working together, getting clean energy is an achievable goal.
